About the program

The Darebin Falcons Senior Program have two teams competing in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL). We are committed to being an inclusive club for women and gender diverse people to play the game we love – footy!

Our senior team is designed for experienced, higher-skilled players who are looking to compete at a more advanced level. Our development team is ideal for players who are building their skills, offering a foundation in strategy, with an emphasis on growth and learning in a supportive setting.

While the level of play differs, both teams require commitment and share the same goals: to enjoy the game, build social connection, and have fun as part of the Darebin Falcons community.

Training is at AH Capp Reserve, Preston on Tuesday and Thursday nights, from 6:15pm – 8:00pm, with games on Sunday afternoons.

Health and safety

Australian Rules Football is a contact sport and, as with all physical activity, injuries may occur. We recommend, at minimum, ambulance membership, and where possible, private health insurance.

Darebin Women’s Sports Club strongly supports AFL Victoria’s Concussion Policy that prohibits return to play for 21 days from head impact when concussion is diagnosed by a medical practitioner, and ceasing participation while a suspected concussion is further assessed.

On registration, Bronze level personal injury insurance is provided through the Marsh National Risk Protection Program.

All members are subject to our Darebin Women’s Sports Club Code of Conduct and Child Safety and Wellbeing policy.

Consent for use of images for social media or club promotion is provided on registration. If you do not want your image used, please let us know at [email protected]. If you are ever unhappy with how we have used your image, let us know and we will have it removed.

If you have any concerns about child safety, please contact our child safety officer, Danielle Logan on [email protected].
