Auskick
About the program
All-girls Auskick begins in April 2025.
NAB AFL Auskick is an 8-week introductory program and is the best fun kids can have being active! In weekly sessions kids will explore the world of AFL, building football skills and playing in a safe and super fun setting. Expect a small group, heaps of games and parent/guardian involvement.
Children can start playing NAB AFL Auskick in the year that they turn 5.

About the Darebin Falcons
At Darebin Falcons we like to keep our Auskick program small with a focus on younger participants, the majority of the participants are generally 5 to 8 years of age.
We run our program alongside our U/10 team training so that any older children who feel comfortable are able to join in the team training instead of, or as well as, Auskick.
Because all our programs are only for girls or gender diverse participants, we find new starters do not feel overwhelmed by too many children and quickly grow confidence, friendships and of course, footy skills.
As the only community footy club in Victoria to have our own VFLW team, we also offer the unique experience of playing in our very own half time Auskick grid game at one of our Darebin Falcons VFLW home games. This was loads of fun in 2024 and we are looking to do it again this year, by popular demand!
Registration
All registrations are through PlayHQ. Search Darebin Falcons (Girls) Auskick Centre, to find out more. The program fee is $91, that includes a NAB AFL Auskick pack sent by the AFL. Flexible payment options are available.
How to register – Parent Carer Auskick
If you are not sure whether your child would be best suited to Auskick or U/10s, talk to us before registering. You are welcome to come down and observe or participate in our U/10 training to get a better sense of who we are and where your child would have the most fun.
