OUR COACHES
Coaches this year are Darebin Falcons and AFLW superstars Aasta O’Connor (Geelong) and Jess Dal Pos (GWS Giants). Aasta and Jess are multiple premiership players at Darebin and All Australian representatives. Aasta is also the AFLW National Talent Head Coach. working primarily with the next generation of female footballers, while Jess is a graduate and dual Premiership coach of Darebin’s U18s Youth Girls team.

DAREBIN WOMEN’S SPORTS CLUB VIDEO PROJECT
Adding to the Academy excitement, joining Aasta and Jess will be Darcy Vescio, best known for her football skills at both Darebin and Carlton, and increasingly, for her engaging digital content across social channels. Darcy is undertaking a video project for the Darebin Women’s Sports Club, featuring girls’ skills and love of football, which may incorporate footage from the Academy sessions.

COVID-19 SAFETY
Falcons Academy will follow all procedures as specified by the Victorian Government and the AFL. Girls should bring their own drinking bottle and arrive no more than 15 minutes before sessions and leave immediately after. No more than one parent should attend and maintain physical distance as required. Hand sanitiser will be available and balls will be sanitised before and after sessions. No player or parent is to attend if feeling unwell. Full fee refund is available on medical grounds. Both Aasta and Jess have completed the accredited AFL Covid Protocols Course and hold current Working with children checks.
