Great win by the mighty Darebin Falcons 1st XI (well twelve with Shiv who selflessly came down as our 12th woman if needed) Vs top team Riverside. Batting first the Falcs were all out for 85 and things looked grim given we’d struggled getting through their batting line up in the fixtured season let alone for as cheaply as 85 runs! But with a ball by ball effort from every single player, and the steely nerve that defines the true falcon spirit the girls ripped through the Riverside defenses for a place in the grand final Vs Frankston. Thanks to Shiv, Tony, Habs, Katrina, Paxy, Penny and anyone else who came and supported us.
