The Darebin Falcons’ Masters team, and Coburg Superules, are honoured to be competing in the Women’s AFL Masters first ever Pride Cup on Saturday 10 August.

The Triple Header is hosted by Werribee Football Club, at Wyndhamvale Reserve, with the Darebin v Coburg match scheduled as the final match at 2.30.

This will be the first ever Women’s AFL Masters Pride Cup.  This year’s Pride Cup matches will celebrate the welcoming culture that women’s AFL has developed at the grassroots level and which continues to inspire AFLM campaigns.

Darebin has a proud history of supporting the Pride Cup initiative through the engagement over several years with the VFLW side.  Darebin recognises how important it is that inclusivity is celebrated and Pride Round is the perfect opportunity to showcase that.

Coburg Superules is thrilled to be involved in their first ever Pride Match. Coburg is an inclusive and diverse club, that is home to 4 men’s teams and 1 women’s team, with a strong one club philosophy.

The Pride Matches arranged for our final round of the 2019 competition will send a clear message that our competition is dedicated to the messages of Pride and Inclusion.  We want to foster an environment where people feel welcome, safe and included.

Let’s all be champions for inclusion and help breakdown barriers, smash stereotypes and change hearts and minds.
