Lauren Pearce, one of the best midfielders in the AFLW competition, has signed to play for the Darebin Falcons in the 2019 VFLW season.
Lauren Pearce started her football journey at the Falcons, following a successful basketball career. The 184cm ruck continues to go from strength to strength. Pearce was awarded the Best and Fairest for the Darebin Falcons VFLW 2018 team and followed that success with an amazing AFLW 3.0 season playing for Melbourne FC and being named in the All-Australian team.
Everyone at the Falcons is ecstatic that we were able to retain such incredible talent, especially our VFLW List Manager Alex Reynolds, saying “Lauren is a much loved member of the Falcons family, having started her football career with us. She played a fantastic season with us in 2018, taking out our B&F and making the 2018 VFLW team of the year.”
