The Darebin Women’s Sports Club (Darebin Falcons) was founded in 1990 and is the largest multi-sport Club in Victoria for women and girls, offering opportunities to play soccer, Australian rules football, cricket and 8-ball. We have teams at community and elite level and are currently the only all-women’s Club to field a team in the VFLW. We partner with local council and state government to support participation and leadership for women and girls both on and off the field. As an independent Club, we are volunteer run, and led by a Board who oversee the strategic and operational aspects of the Club.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for volunteer Board Members for 2023 as some of our current board members will be stepping down. We are looking for people who support our vision of a world where women and girls know no boundaries, and can commit to putting their skills to use to drive action and create positive change.
We are particularly seeking experience in:
- Secretary
- Media, marketing and communications
- People and Culture
If you feel you have skills to offer, and share our vision, please get in touch.
The Darebin Falcons are strongly committed to developing women on and off the field and encourage anyone who is comfortable in a women’s centred space to express their interest.
Positions will be confirmed at our upcoming AGM on 1 December. If you would like more information, or to express interest in joining our Board, please contact our President, Jane Ryan ([email protected]) or our current Secretary, Robin Shepherd ([email protected]).
