A high scoring game between Yarra Valley and Darebin saw the Falcons set the total of 1/153 off their 20 overs thanks to an opening stand of 120 from Rebecca Hickmott (68) and Julia Boyle (67 not out).
In reply an unbeaten 70 from Kylie Snape gave Yarra Valley a chance however quick wickets to Jane Lange (3/17) restricted the home side to 6/112.
The win put Darebin back in the four on the One Day Shield Ladder.
