Close to 140 girls graced the hallowed turf of AH Capp Reserve on Sunday for the Junior Soccer and Auskick ‘come and try’ day.

The day was a huge success with our already booming junior soccer program welcoming plenty of new faces in every age division. Not to be outdone, Auskick was up next with a number of enthusiastic Senior Falcons AFL players on hand to run the clinic. The ‘speccy’ bag once again proved to be the most popular.

Overseeing the successful day was Club President Aleisha Leonard; “Our ultimate goal is to continue to offer affordable opportunities for women and girls of all ages to play sport, regardless of their background or ability.

Our Vice President Jasmine Hirst has been able to grow a hugely successful girls junior soccer program of over 200 players in only a few years. Our vision for AFL is to grow the girls program at our club in the same way, offering girls a pathway to play AFL from 4 years to senior level. Expanding our sporting programs is made possible by the hardworking members and sponsors of our club who continue to volunteer their time and resources to make our vision a reality.”

Junior Soccer

Our junior soccer program offers opportunities for girls aged 4-16, with teams in each age division. Our most recent addition is an Under 16s team, further strengthening our junior to senior pathway. Soccer is a great way to get some exercise, meet new friends, learn a new skill and most importantly, have fun!
