To top off what was another great year at the Falcons, we have been lucky to come away with a number of awards at the VWFL league Presentation night.
Well done to Daisy Pearce who was named the Premier Division Best and Fairest. Showing how strong the team performed, was Aasta O’Connor coming Runner Up in the best and Fairest. It would be very rare that the Best and Fairest and Runner Up are from the same club. So well done to you both on outstanding seasons. Both of the girls represented Victoria at the national carnival as well as being selected for the All Australian team.
Well done to Harriet for coming Runner Up Best and Fairest in the Premier Reserve division. Again another fantastic effort considering she missed a lot of the season through injury and travel. Well done Harry.
Another Ex-Falcon was honoured on the night. Coach Peta Searle was given life membership to the league. This is reserved for people who have contributed to the league in an extraordenary way. Peta is a 5 time premiership coach, a premiership player, All Australian player and Victorian representative. She is the current coach of the Victorian team. Well done to Pete on your life membership, you definitely deserve it.
