The DWSC would like to congratulate Tim Pyers as the latest Volunteer of the Month.
Tim has been involved in the Darebin Falcons for 4 years since his daughter, Camille, started playing soccer at the club. He’s now in his second year on the junior soccer committee and has recently been appointed to the new role of Soccer Equipment Coordinator.
Tim has taken to his new role with gusto ensuring that all teams had enough balls, goals, cones and other essential equipment for the start of the season. He has also sourced and constructed some sturdy metal shelving for all the equipment in the soccer pavilion, mended portable goals and installed whiteboards.
Thanks to Tim the soccer clubrooms are now looking a lot more organised and the equipment is easier for coaches to find, store and look after.
Without volunteers like Tim the club would not be able to offer the opportunities it does to Girls and Women to play sport. So we’d like to recognise Tim and say ‘thanks’ for all your hard work!!
