‘In House’ Level 1 Sports Trainer, Sports First Aid and CPR Update

Dear AFL Leagues, Clubs & Associations,
With teams set to begin pre season training for 2011, now is the time to be thinking about sports safety. SMA-VIC can offer courses such as the Level 1 Sports Trainer, Advanced Sports Taping, and Spinal Injury Management among others to specific leagues and clubs upon request. All we need in a minimum of 10 participants.

SMA-VIC is now an Accredited Training Provider for Sports First Aid and CPR Courses. Organizations can now use our highly qualified, in-house trainers for your staff and clubs professional development at a time & venue that suits your individual needs.

Upon successful completion, the SMA Sports First Aid Course will provide participants with a National Accreditation as a SMA Sports First Aider. Participants will also be issued with a three-year Nationally Recognized Statement of Attainment showing the unit of competency HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid, which incorporates the HLTCPR201A – Perform CPR, and HLTFA201A – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support units of competency.

The CPR Update will provide participants with a national CPR accreditation (HLTCPR201A Perform CPR). This is the standard CPR qualification required to ensure first aid accreditations are kept current and under Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines must be updated annually.
