The Darebin Women’s Sports Club provides opportunities for girls to participate in soccer from under-9 all the way up to under-16. For a general overview of our junior soccer teams please click here.
Training:
Training for all teams U9-U16 will begin in the week commencing February 27th. Training will be on the footy ground at AH Capp Reserve for the first few weeks, before relocating to our usual training venue at Robinson Reserve.
Games:
Junior soccer games will begin on Sundays from April 23 until September 10.
The Junior Soccer Training Timetable
Mini Roos Teams U9-U11 training once a week:
U9 – Mondays 5.30-6.30 (2 teams) and Tuesday 5.30-6.30 (Players from U9 Red and Blue from 2016)
U10 – Tuesdays 5.30-6.30 (3 Teams – 2 Kangaroos, 1 Joeys)
U11 – Tuesdays 5.30-6.30 (2 Teams)
and
U11 – Thursdays 5.30-6.30 (2 Teams)
Junior teams U12-U16 training twice a week:
U12 Joeys – Tuesdays 6.30-7.30 and Thursdays 5.30-6.30 (2 teams)
and
U12 Kangaroos – Wednesdays 5.30-6.30 and Fridays 6.15-7.15 (1 team)
U14 – Wednesdays 6.00-7.30 and Thursdays 5.30-7.00 (1 team)
and
U14 – Mondays 6.00-7.30 and Wednesdays 5.30-7.00 (1 team)
U16 – Mondays 6.30-8.00 and Wednesdays 6.30-8.00 (1 team)
and
Wednesdays 6.30-8.00 and Thursdays 6.30-8.00 (1 team)
Fees:
Fees for the 2017 season are as follows:
Clinic $145
Mini Roos U9-U11 $180
Junior Teams U12-U16 $270
Clinic and Mini Roos players that already have a uniform can claim a $35 discount at the time of registration.
Would you like to coach?
We are looking for coaches and assistant coaches for a number of age groups including Clinic, U9, U11, U14 and U16. If you are interested in coaching or would just like to find out more, please contact Jasmine Hirst to talk about what’s involved.
MiniRoos Coaching Certificate
In conjunction with the Football Federation Victoria, we will be hosting an Aldi MiniRoos Coaching Certificate Course for coaches of players aged 5-9 (our Mini Roos clinic and Under 9 teams).
The details are as follows:
Date: Sunday March 19th
Time: 9.30am-12.30pm
Venue: AH Capp Reserve (Football Ground) on Halwyn Cres Preston.
Cost: Free!
To enrol for the course, go to My Football Club and select the course in Preston on March 19th.
All parents, older players and anyone else interested is welcome to attend. Women and girls are particularly encouraged to get involved.
