The Darebin Falcons junior soccer girls, aged between 5 and 11 were mascots for the W-League match on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 between Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC. As well as walking onto the field with the players at the beginning of the match, the Darebin Falcons also played a small sided game on the field at half time. Following the match they met some of the Melbourne Victory players including Matildas goal-keeper Brianna Davey. It was an inspiring experience for the girls, playing in front of a crowd of around 600 and watching women’s soccer at the highest 
level.
