Rainy Day… It was like a marsh underfoot, but that didn’t stop the Falcons. Tam starred up at full forward marking anything that came near her. Little Nic’s return to footy started with a bang when she scored a superb goal in the first minute. The Falcons still managed to hit their targets, even in the wet, boggy conditions. Em was fantastic in the ruck, following up on all of her taps, and Adelle managed to snag a goal with a quick kick off the ground.

Still a mud pit… The second quarter saw Carb’s kick her first goal for the year. Tazzie’s precision kicking into the forward line made it easy for Bec to have a lazy four goals up to half time.

The girls continued to show their skills throughout the third in the continuing harsh conditions. Re’s speed and silky ball handling was impressive and Crystal’s presence across the half forward line helped create space and set up some great team goals.

Last Quarter, Muddy, Heavy Ball. Bec topped off a great performance with another 2 goals, ensuring that there were more goals than points on the board. A fantastic performance for the Falcons in trying conditions.

Falcons Seniors

Under muddy and wet conditions we had the best first quarter of the year. On the Mcslushy ground the girls linked up well and kicked away to a five goal lead by quarter time.

The second quarter started with a great goal and celebration from Habs, and with a little help from Diamo’s Audley taking down her own team mate, Chiocci, we were in for a good game.

The second half was a domination as Diamo struggled to get the ball close to their goal, and the score board kept ticking over, mainly due to some great team work and commitment to the ball.

Special Mentions

Aasta, for being run down a player half her size.

To our new player Sandy!

Kd, who ran out with the wrong team after half time.

To J-Fag for handling the boundary line heckle.

And last but definately not least, to the gloved ones (Coutta and Jane) on their 50 games. Perhaps they should have rehearsed breaking through the banner.
