The Falcons are starring on the field and now the list of achievements off the field is becoming as impressive.
The Falcons family would like to congratulate Aussie Rules stalwart Natalie Wood (Woody) and former Falcons gun forward Kate Burke (Tucker) for successfully completing the Half Ironman in Cairns last weekend GREAT WORK LADIES!
There’s nothing like competing in an Ironman halfway through a footy season and who else to achieve this but Woody. Known for her speed, courage and determination on the footy field these are all attributes that would come in handy in an Ironman challenge.
Woody and Tucker competed in the Urban Hotel Group Individual Ironman 70.3 event, the event included a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21.1km run. Tucker powered through the swim with an exciting time of 40 minutes nothing like crocs in the water to spur you on! Woody smashed out the run in an impressive 1hr and 52 minutes, given that this is the last leg of the challenge a superb effort!
