Last Sunday our very own Aasta O’Connor jumped on a plane on route up north, taking a week out of her everyday life to travel up to the Tiwi Islands with Red Dust Australia; a volunteer organisation that promotes healthy life style choices by placing positive role models like Aasta in remote communities.
Red Dust have been delivering the ‘Healthy Living Programs’ for over a decade and Aasta is the first female footballer to be involved.
The DWSC are very proud to be a community focused club and understand the importance of giving back at the grass roots level. We cannot wait to see what Aasta gets up to and look forward to sharing all the special stories from her trip! Hopefully the kids up in the top end can teach her a trick or two and who knows, she might even come back able to kick on her left foot! #reddustrolemodels
